Reminisce - Journal App Reviews

This app is just great, it’s simple to use and so pleasing to the eyes. There aren’t too many features, no adds and no stupid “sharing” options everywhere. And when you have to type your password it is such a pleasure not to be obligated to click so many buttons or to be bothered with ugly designs : just type the password and you’re in. It sounds obvious, but it is not to all the other apps. What a pleasure to write in there every night (But when’s the iPhone version ??)

To record my thoughts, I wanted an app that was simple enough, where I created as many entries as I wanted, added some tags, a picture once a while and that’s it. Then it had to allow me to navigate by date and tags. And it had to do this simple task without getting in the way, meaning that I wanted to focus on my thoughts rather than the app. This app does that and then some. I like it and recommend for those who want to keep it simple.

The app has almost everything you need in a journal app. Due to the great and simple design, it is much easer and faster to use than some competitor apps.

I was looking for an app, which would serve as a journal, for daily reflections…this does the trick. You can type text, add pictures/emoji, alter fonts, create file folders/categories for each entry, even add a location (with maps). I very much enjoy this app as a personal journal. No complaints.

I just wanted to thank the developers of this app for a job well done. It’s easy to use and gives me the ability to capture my thoughts quickly and easily when I want to and the chance to capture images, star ratings and moods for the day. The only thing I would love to see added is video and audio, which when I made a suggestion tonight, I had a response within 3 minutes of me submitting it. This is an application developer who cares about their product and the feedback from their clients. I would have given it a 4/5 stars before but with the response from the developer so quickly, this easily turned it into a 5/5. Great work and looking forward to your new releases. Cheers

Says it is free app but only lets you do about 10 journal entries until it forces you to upgrade. Don’t bother.

I really like it, better then some of the other journals infact (I’ve tried out most of the free ones, and a free verson for one that otherwise costs about 39 dollars). So well done with that Although it does limit how many enteries you can do before asking for an upgrade, I didn’t find the price that bad for something like this.

I really thought I’d enjoy this app saying it is FREE, but after a few entries it wants you to upgrade and pay.

Doesn’t integrate well with maps.

I don’t see a clear reason to use this app. It really lacks direction and clear cut purpose. you can write text and format it. Any text app can do that. You can place images in it in a very weird way, it launches your computer camera first and mac default user icons.. Why would anyone want to insert Mac user OS default icons into a journal post as an image… Any modern and free note app such as free apple Notes can do way more with everything that this app tries to be. Assign a person from my contact book? why, what is the purpose of assigning a contact…you can’t share , collaborate, show anything to anyone There is no viewing, sharing, collaboration. This is equivalent of a dumb phone vs smart phone in note taking app world.

When I first saw the app, I really loved the concept. I began to use the app but at the moment, I did not see any features that allowed the user to export the moments into PDF or other formats. I reached out to the dev team and they fullfilled my wishes!! Thank you soo much for the customer support and awesome work. Keep it up!!

I was enjoying using this journal. I liked that it was password protected and easy to use. I wrote about 10 heartfelt entries. Then it said that if I wanted to keep using it I had to pay $1 to upgrade to the premium version, which I gladly did. As soon as I paid to upgrade, the next time I tried to get into the app it said that the Reminisce app is damaged and I would need to delete it and reinstall from the App Store. No option to recover data. Just like that, all data gone - all of those thoughts and memories and feelings I stored in there, gone. I would not recommend anyone use this app because your data is not safe in there and you are likely wasting your time writing information that’s just going to disappear. I decided to order a good old-fashioned paper journal from Amazon immediately after this.

I really like this app. Very easy to use, simple to the point. I Journal a lot this makes it so much better for me keep the flow of my thoughts going.

This app is very nice. It does what it says it will do - I love it so far and plan on upgrading. It’s great that you get to try before you buy and the upgrade is only $1.00. I love that you can add photo’s to each entry, but I was wondering if it be possible to add music files to a journal entry? It would mean so much and would definitely rate it 5 stars after that.

I saw the excellent reviews, downloaded the app and began typing. After 3 posts, I moved on to start my fourth… oh what’s that, Reminisce? I have to upgrade to add more than 3 journals? Go pack a lunch. Dont care to pay $4.99 to unlimited access just to write my thoughts. Wish it would specified what the limitations are for the free version before people waist their time using it. However if you do prefer to spend $4.99, by all means upgrade! It is a nice format.

I like the fact that I can add pictures and online images to my journal entries. you can’t with freebie version so if you like imagery with thoughts way cool.

The app is pretty basic but it’s good, nothing to complain so far. It’s doing what I need it to do.

I love this app so much. I just wish i could also use it on my iphone and easily sync it with my google drive. I love the export feature and i do that regularly but it would it to happen on its own just in case anything would happen. This app is well worth the money and i love using it. Maybe in the future these addition could be made.
