Reminisce - Journal App Reviews

12 Photo Limit on PAID VERSION WHAT!!

Ok first and for most I was looking for a Journal app that I can record all of my memories to a point. Then I stumbled on to this App and immediatley loved it but there are somethings that just don’t work correctly and might cause you to loose data. I don’t know why this App deeloper doesn’t use more than iCloud for syncing because DropBox and others are better in my opinion. Well I tried iCloud on both my mini and Macbook and it wiped my old notes! I lost like 5 days or 6 and I was little mad lol believe me but I turned off iCloud and just started to import to a secondary drive for the just in case. Another thing is No autosave! I mean come on this is 2016 and no autosave? I was working on a Journal and I accidentally hit cmd q and it quit the app but when I reopend it my log was over 90 percent gone. I really love the app but it does need some work and the price of $4 is alittle steep when your app is limited and doesn’t save correctly(not all the time). My advise buy it and don’t use cloud services till it’s fixed and wait for myJournal to come out =) UPDATE after almost 3 months of use! Ok the icloud somewhat works and at least it’s not wiping my notes! Thanks for that and here’s one thing that bothers me and since I paid for this app then why do I get a limit of photos to 12? That’s honestly wrong and for a paid app really? I would expect that from a free app to get you to buy and that’s why I bought this app but still limited to 12 photos! I like visuals in my journal. Please fix that!

Mostly decent app with one infuriating deal breaker of a UI flaw

Selecting any text while writing a journal entry triggers a (completely unnecessary) floating UI popup allowing you to italicise, boldface, or change the font size of the selected text. The popup conveniently blocks any keyboard entry while it’s active. So any time you go to delete or edit a word, you’re stuck waiting until the useless little popup finishes grinding through its exit animation and finally lets you start typing again. There are a couple of other minor annoyances — I don’t love that the first line of every entry gets displayed as its “title” for example — but the thing where you’re constantly losing the keyboard focus really interferes with the usefulness of the app.

Backup to email

it’s really good the only bad thing is that you can’t Backup your journals to your email

No complaints

Real simple and easy way to journal. Haven’t had any problems with this app.

Y U NO WORK?

I paid for the upgrade, and it will not let me use the app in the way that I want too. I’m a bit upset about that. I am currently looking to see what to do about that, but other than that glich.. I do enjoy the app for being able to write without an internet connection, and it’s simple to use. It’s not complicated and it’s decent to use as well.

Great!!

I never thought I would ever start a journal, but the app has so many amazing features and allows me to be organized. It’s changed my stance on journalling as a whole.

great app

great simple to use app. love the tags making it easy to reference or look up past entries.

Every thing i wanted in a daily activty journal

In my opinion the cheapest and most affective app for jotting down day-to-day logs. Simple and stright to the piont!

Exactly what I was looking for

I wanted a simple daily note taker for the purpose of journaling, to remember certain details from daily life, to record things I may be interested in looking back on in the future. Very clean and easy to use. Love the tags feature. Thank you!

Perfect journaling app

Love this app. Easy to use. If you need an app to keep track of daily activities, this is it.

Lovely interface

There is nothing to figure out. You launch the application, it opens into a new date, and you just start typing. It takes a lot of thought on the part of the developer to end up with such pleasing simplicity.

I would recommend

This is a great App. I love it so far. I have the ability to tag items, I can also write each day and it keeps all my journal entries in a list. I can see how often I have used my tags and it is also password protected. Great App.

Awesome!… Just needs a corresponding mobile version

Simple interface, password protected, and cost effective! What else do you need? Just a mobile version for my ipad and iPhone!

everything froze

I made about 4 entries over a weeks time and then tried to put a picture in an entry and the entire app froze up. after I re-opened the app, I could type on the entry page but couldn’t save anything and when I tried to click on the list, it wouldn’t open and the app froze again. Now all my entries are gone dispite tryint re-opne the app several times, each time it just freezes up. Not happy

Good app!

This simple app is exactly what I am looking for! It would be better if it has a mobile version so I can take notes on the way.

I love Reminisce Journal

The app is easy to use just start writting about your day and that’s it very simple to use love The App

Good for writing — suggestion for pictures

I would rate this 5 stars for the easy and simple ability to write thoughts, organize it by date and tags, and its password protected! However, I would suggest an option to resize pictures that are uploaded to the entries. All of the pictures I upload are very large in size, when I would rather have the ability to make them smaller and place them in specific orders/places. Otherwise, it is very convienent and I’ve been using this as a daily journal to reflect on thoughts/memories. Its very therapuetic!

So easy to use

I like the fact that the app opens up on a new blank page waiting to be filled. It’s also very easy to go back and edit another day’s entry. Great simple to use journal, just what I was looking for.

Very Simple - Suggested Export Methods

So I love this app as I can easliy type and record moments. I wish that I could save my moments in PDF or other export methods. This would make this app much better.

can’t think of anything else that I need in a journal!

I really like that it is paswword locked, which is ideal for the snoppy niece and nephew that I have and sometimes use my computer. It dates the journals for you so no need to do that. Gives you the unlimited amount of characters to write with the library to go back and read previous entries. option to upload pics, which I dont use as much because I use it more as a relective/ spiritual journal. I haven’t had any problems so far.
